Youth Group

Well we had 5 boys and 1 girl at youth group this week. They were learning about who God is and how we can know who He is. They are catching on to the lessons. Afterwards we played a hard rough game of basketball. It was a great time getting to know the youth better and having time to talk to them.

Pray that the youth that comes to church on Sunday would not be to busy to come Wednesday night.

Praise

Dear Friends,

God is getting ready to open a door on our ministry field. This would be a big step and would be enjoyable.

One of the churches in our area has asked us to come and lead their youth group on Wednesday nights. We would love to have this chance to get in and to get to know the youth and their families. Pray with us that this door would open.

Praise to God for the youth that were at camp, and that have gone out sharing their new experiences with camp.

Camp Update
What an awesome summer we have had. This was our first year of directing camp, and it has been a time of learning and of joy. We are so grateful for the youth that were able to come to camp and for all the new youth we had come. We thank all of the people who are supporting us through prayer and financial support. We could not have done it without your help. God has truly blessed us by having you on our team.

This year at camp the campers studied 1 John in their morning devotion time and 1 Peter in their evening devotion time. They were challenged to be an Authentic Christian, and looked at how they could have a living hope. It was amazing to see how God worked in each camp. Their day was filled with the Word of God, and we had lots of activates for them to do as well. We had archery, tetherball, swimming, basketball, foosball, hiking, bonfire, horseshoes and carpet pool.

We had 34 campers at camp this year. We had 3 for our primary camp, 15 at Junior camp, and 12 for Teen camp, 4 for fishing camp. We had several youth that could not stay the whole day that would stop in and visit camp.

We had four girls at our back to school fishing camp located at Box Butte Reservoir. Three of the girls had never done any fishing before. It was a great time to learn and actually catch some fish.
Upcoming
On the third Saturday of every month we will be starting BASIC Saturday. This is a time for the youth to come to camp for Bible study, fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and work projects. We will be working around camp and the surrounding communities.

We are moving to Rushville, where God has provided a house that will better suite our ministry. Sarah was able to get a job at the school. I will be working on deputation and ministry stuff. We will be starting a Bible study in our home for those in the area.

We are in the process of trying to re-open Curley Sunday School. Please pray along with us as we proceed and that God would prepare hearts to meet Him.

Camp Needs
1. After our health inspection of the dorms we were told that we had to fix up the dorms before our next camping season. We are looking at insulating and sheet rocking the dorms, so that we can meet the requirements.

Prayer Requests
1. Pray that we would be able to share about our ministry.
2. Pray for the staff that will be needed for camp.
3. Pray for the youth that they would continue to grow in Christ.
4. Pray with us as we continue deputation that we would have the strength needed and wisdom.

Teen Camp

Our first week of camp is done, the teens are gone camp is too quiet. Despite the weather and being under storm watch after storm watch, and surviving the hail we had a great week.

The teens really got into the Word of God and learned lots. They srudied 1John and 1Peter this year for devotionss. You coyld see an attitude change in the teens this year, and they asked for a second teen camp later next month. So if anyone would like to come and help let us know.

I want to thank all of the people who aee praying for us. Peay for these teens as they go back out into the world. We have more camps coming, so please keep on praying.

Teens I cannot wait to see you in a few weeks.

We have our first camp work day this Saturday. We are looking at doing some upgrades this year and we are looking forward to having help come.

We have been praying about getting a bus for camp, and we have had that prayer answered. A local church in Mitchel donated a bus to the camp. This will allow us to take the kids to the pool and to the lake for a dip on those hot days this summer.

Continue to pray with us for the children that the Lord would have come to camp.

Pray with us for our dorm staff that is still needed.

How Great is our God

Dear Friends and Family,

So much has been happening in the last few months. The real big praise is that our house sold in three weeks, we were not really trying to sell it at the time, but God took care of that need. We have moved a lot of our stuff to our new place out in the country eight miles south of the camp. Praise God for answered prayers. Pray that Sarah will be able to host three or more shows a week with Pampered Chef, as she will be the only consultant in the area. She has two shows lined up now so please pray for a good turn out and more leads.

Things are coming together for the camping season this summer. We have been able to speak at a few churches and share about Camp. We have been blessed to pick up some staff to fill positions that were needing filled. God is working in ways we cannot see, so all praise to Him.

We still need to get some staff for the camping season, so please pray with us, that the staff positions will be filled. If you would like to know about helping or know someone that would love to help this summer let us know.

We thank all of you that are supporting us financially and prayerfully.

Memories

It is hard to believe that it has been ten years since my brother and sister died. Yet the memories of that day are very present and real. I thought I was doing good for today, and then it hit me tonight. All I can do is praise God for the blessings he has given me, where he has brought me, and what he is doing with me. I never imagined I would be where I am today, let alone doing what I am doing. Me a missionary, it was not my idea. I wanted to change pre-hospital care. To give a better chance of survival.

I think that the hardest part of today was looking at my son. Thinking about how it must feel to loose a child. What would I do if I lost him? Then as the Lord say's "come unto me and I will give you rest" that is what I did. I came to the arms of my loving Father. I cannot say that I would trade his life for someone else's, but I am so grateful for the Father that did. He cared enough for me, while I was yet a sinner.

Who do you turn to in your time of trouble? What do you turn to in your time of trouble? The love of Christ, is the only answer. 1 Peter 5:7 say's "cast all your cares on him, for he cares for you". He also say's "come unto me and I will give you rest".

Are you hurting from some past experience? Are you haunted by something you said or did? Christ can give us the peace that passes all understanding, that does not mean it will not hurt, but you can know that God has a purpose and that He will help you through.
